How to submit a project?
Payments / Fees
The Modelling Week will reserve up to 25 student places for international students coming from ECMI nodes. For these students there are special financial conditions. These are susceptible to adjustments, due to final funding constraints. By early May the final figures should be available.

Additional 15-18 students will be expected from other universities. The payment policy and conditions will be specified below.

ECMI Students

The accommodation will be arranged at LOAS Student dormitory in double rooms. The student or the sending university is expected to cover the following costs.
  1. A fee of 220€
  2. The first 150€ of the travel costs, assuming that the total travel cost does not exceed 700€.
  3. In case the student is coming via a more expensive travel-route, sharing of the costs exceeding this limit should be negotiated with the organisers.
The student will get
  • accommodation as indicated above
  • 10€/day for buying breakfast, lunch coupons and/or a meal in the evening. Lunch coupons at University restaurant cost about 4€/meal.
  • coffees 2 times/day
  • excursion transportation
  • a buffet meal at the final party
  • workshop report once it is published

In your registration indicate your preferred room mate. If you do not, the organisers will choose your room mate. Please indicate your gender: male/female

Those who have special wishes regarding accommodation, like single room or higher level of comfort should contact the organisers in advance and no later than 1st of May 2004. Alternative solutions are available but then the student and/or the sending university must pay the cost difference.

Other students

Students coming from other universities and possible extra ECMI students exceeding the quota of 25 are supposed to cover from their own sources the actual costs.
  • costs of travel
  • cost of accommodation and subsistence
  • other actual costs up to 150€, covering course materials, excursion trip, dinner and workshop report.

For the students paying full actual costs following choices for accommodation are available.

  • LOAS Student Dormitory, shared double room, self organised breakfast. Price 13€/day/person. (limited number of available rooms).
  • Karelia Park Summer Hotel, shared double room, breakfast included. Price 21€/day/person.
  • Karelia Park Summer Hotel, single room, breakfast included. Price 34€/day.
Lunch coupons at University restaurant cost about 4€/meal.
